Dr.
Charmoy holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of
Utah. Afterwards he did graduate work in biochemistry while obtaining
a Certified Dental Technicians degree from Union County. Seven years
after practicing dental technology, he went to Fairleigh Dickinson
School of Dentistry where he graduated in the top of his class. Upon
graduation he was awarded the Prosthetic Achievement award and the
Teddy Lozman Orthodontics award. He then practiced dentistry in Morris
County for several years. Also Dr. Charmoy taught at Fairleigh
Dickinson School of Dentistry in the Prosthodontic department. He has been practicing in Somerville since
1989. Dr. Charmoy and his wife Adele live in Bridgewater with their
two dogs.
Dr. Charmoy has taken multiple hours of continuing education in dental sleep. He holds membership in the American Academy of Sleep and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is a dentist on staff at the Sleep for Life Center in Hillsborough and works closely with many sleep specialists. Dr. Charmoy has had great success in helping patients who can not use CPAP (continuous positive air pressure). The appliances he fabricates has helped eliminate snoring and sleep apnea events.

We
enjoy cooperative relationships with local dental specialists and
other human services professionals.
Suzan is a registered dental assistant. She is a member of the NJDA,
NDAA, and the Jamaican Dental Society. She has been involved in
numerous volunteer programs in Haiti and Jamaica. She holds a business
degree from Rutgers University and attended Fairleigh Dickinson Dental
School for expanded functions in dentistry. Having practiced in the
field for twenty years, both in general and specialty practices, she
brings a diverse knowledge to the practice. She has been with Dr.
Charmoy for 5 years as his assistant and is also the office manager.
Before becoming a hygienist Joyce was a certified dental assistant.
Upon Completing hygiene school with high honors, Joyce went onto
Rutgers to get a dual bachelor of science degree in geniology and
health care counseling graduating again with high honors. Joyce has
worked in general and periodontal offices before joining Dr. Charmoy
in 2001. Joyce brings a great deal of knowledge of dental health and
concern for the treatment of her patients.
Laurie is our part time dental hygienist who joined our practice in
mid 2007. She graduated from Middlesex County College in 1996 earning
an A.S.S. degree in dental hygiene where she received the Proctor and
Gamble Award for Excellence in Oral Hygiene Instruction. Laurie also
attended Douglas College for two years and holds an A.S.S. degree from
Fashion Institute of Technology of SUNY as well. Laurie is a life long
resident of Edison, comes from a large family of seven and is a avid
animal lover. She has 3 large breed dogs and would have been a
veterinary had she chosen an alternate career.
After working 17 years in retail Adele decided to change careers and
the timing was perfect to join her husbands practice. With very
little dental knowledge she has acquired the skills necessary for
running the front desk of the dental office. Adele has become
proficient in insurance for both dental and medical (for sleep apnea
patients). Her experience is an asset in helping patients get there
maximum insurance coverage.
Bea
Glezman is our “girl Friday”. Her warm smile is there to greet patients, help
assisting chair side and fill in at other office duties.
Bea is a student at RVCC, majoring in Early Childhood Education, and is in her
fourth level of ASL (American Sign Language).
